I came across this band by accident while studying after effects animation. The video was directed by Stefan Nadelman, who’s known as one of the very best in 2-d animation circles, but what hit me was how awesome the band Ramona Falls is. They’re from Portland and kind of remind me of Bon Iver and The Arcade Fire but they have their own thing going on too. Check it out…. The animation is phenomenal too.

I am also a huge movie buff and these are the current films I’ve been loving. Russell and I will post new ones from time to time:
Sin Nombre (about Latin American gangs and immigrating to the US)
All The President’s Men (from the 70s staring the young Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman see photo – sigh!…) It’s about the Watergate scandal and the fall of Nixon. It’s simple and quite well done.
The Life of David Gale (Kate Winslet, Kevin Spacey) – I didn’t see this when it came out, but this is a really smart thriller. I had to watch the ending 3 times to get it
The Messenger – About the division of the US army in charge of notifications – telling families their loved ones had died in combat.
